About Andrew

Andrew Fernandes is a filmmaker and artist based in Mumbai. Throughout his career, he has adopted diverse interests and artistic disciplines that add detail and meaning to his directing style. 

 

From fabricating handmade props to production design, hybrid animation and post-production, Andrew’s imprint is visible at every stage of the creative process. 

 

In contrast to his commercial body of work, Andrew explores independent and experimental forms of storytelling. With an emphasis on research, oral history archival, food memory and the transformation of urban spaces.

 

These undertakings allow him to write and develop projects that portray themes of identity, legacy, change and sustainability to create experiences that are not only entertaining and immersive but are introspective.
